Honey's BBQ...First taste test

Went to Honey's for the first time tonight. As you might guess this place is NOT for vegetarians, but for the meat lover it is just right (they do have green beans, but my guess is that they put bacon in it).

They have whole racks of ribs, half racks, large and small rib tips, whole and half chickens, and dinner combos of everything (includes 2 sides). One thing they didn't have on the menu board yet, but they told me about, was the pulled pork sandwich. I chose to get the sandwich (which was $4.19 with tax). You have your choice of mild, medium, and hot BBQ sauce. I chose the hot, which has a kick that builds up over time. It was a pretty big pile of pulled pork, done right in my opinion (but I'm no BBQ expert) with very little fat or greasiness.

They have brightened the place up quite a bit. Much nicer than the Tin Star (why would you want to eat in a jail cell?). Still not much seating, but I'll be getting things to go most of the time anyway.

I'll be trying the other menu items soon, so check back for updates.

Honey's BBQ...

The former Tin Star now has a new name...Honey's BBQ. They have placed a banner over the old sign, apparently waiting on the new one to show (considering how slow the rest of the project has gone it may be quite a wait). The banner/sign says "Now Open", but they don't look all that open.

I received a card from them in my mailbox..."Rib Tips, Chicken, Ribs, Baby Backs". Meat, Meat, Meat. This will not help with my weight loss.
